We are currently accepting applications for a Ground Disurbance Coordinator/Technician at our Northern Alberta locations.

Ainsworth has been involved in construction surveying since 1987. Since 2001, Ainsworth has been dedicated to the development of Oil Sands Projects in Fort McMurray and Edmonton. Our services include all aspects of plant construction from the initial dirt work to the final asbuilt submissions. We also provide technical drawings, concrete testing and rebar-tying services.

Position Details

Activities

In this office position you will be managing underground as-built information and drawings.  Working closely with our operations staff, you will prepare sketches to support ground disturbance permits. 

The daily duties of this position will include, but not be limited to;

  • Compilation of survey data and drawings to manage the underground utility database
  • Generation of sketches to detail scope of permitted works and underground interferences
  • Supporting Coordination with the clients safety team
  • Crossover shift support of Survey Coordinator/Technician
  • Field inspection and coordination of underground hazard identification
  • Participate and assist with safety meetings, hazard assessments and safe work procedures. 

 

 

Job Qualifications

Persons with a diploma in civil/survey technology are preferred.  Candidates without a formal education in civil/survey technology must have construction survey experience using; total stations, GPS equipment, and underground locating equipment.  Safety training and site orientations will be provided.  Candidates must posess:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Civil Construction Industry
  • Experience and Training in the supervision of underground disturbances
  • At least 2 years of experience with drafting with AutoCAD Land Desktop or Civil 3D
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
