DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:


The GIS specialist will be responsible for producing various mapping products in support of oilsands exploration projects. Data integrity and legacy management will be a key responsibility within this position.  The GIS specialist will report to the department supervisor.

 

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • GIS technical degree or diploma 
  • 2 – 3 years experience in a production mapping environment 
  • Thorough knowledge of ESRI ArcView 9.3 or newer
  • Previous experience with relational databases and SQL queries 
  • Oil and Gas experience is considered an asset 
  • Desire to pursue a long-term career in a dynamic, supportive environment
