Job Description

GIS Application Specialist Golder is looking for motivated individuals to join its Information Management team as GIS Application Specialists. Intermediate and senior level experience will be considered. Candidates must have previous experience building / implementing GIS-based applications on the ESRI platform. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are critical for providing high quality solutions to projects in the engineering and environmental disciplines. Demonstrated project management skills and interpersonal skills are an asset while working with clients and staff at all levels within our company.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications • Professional programming experience • Experience working with ArcObjects • Microsoft .Net development experience including Visual Studio.NET 2003 or 2005 • Coding using VB.NET and / or C#.NET • Experience using ASP.NET • Database application development • Strong background in Object Oriented Analysis and Design • Excellent troubleshooting skills • Good verbal and written communication skills Additional Qualifications • Experience as a GIS analyst or database developer • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005 experience including database design, triggers, stored procedures, DTS packages and SQL Server Reporting Engine • Oracle 8i (or higher) • Web Service design and implementation using .NET framework • Source code versioning (Microsoft SourceSafe) • Microsoft SharePoint and / or InfoPath Interested applicants are encouraged to apply on-line at www.golder.com in the Career/Canada section.
