Job Description
As part of our GIS Team, the successful candidate may be involved in spatial data management, analysis, cartography, scripting, applications development and quality control using ESRI software on both Windows and UNIX platforms. The team is responsible for creation, development, support and maintenance of geographic information systems primarily in the natural resource industries and various government sectors. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of geospatial technologies and will work with our GIS team to provide support and solutions on a variety of projects.
Job Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience with ArcGIS and Workstation ArcInfo.
• Experience with ArcGIS extensions and ArcGIS Server is an asset.
• Experience with ArcObjects, Python and AML is an asset.
• Experience with CAD software is an asset.
• Experience with 3D Visualization software (World Construction Set, Visual Nature Studio) is an asset.
• Experience with GPS data collection and data processing is an asset.
• Post-secondary education in GIS or Natural Resources.
